Donation Opportunities:

Wayne Opportunity Center is a private, 501(c)3, non-profit community-based facility that has served individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living and work-training needs in Wayne County, NC for over 50 years.

 

We solicit the public's support by way of donations in order to help us to continue our efforts.

Recently, Wayne Opportunity Center was devastated by the flood associated with Hurricane Matthew.  The facility was inundated with at least 15" inches of water causing severe damage to flooring, walls, furnishings, supplies and electrical works.  It's been over three weeks and power has not yet been restored due to damaged transformers and electrical paneling.  Wayne Opportunity Center has flood insurance however, it will only cover a portion of the losses we are experiencing.  The management team is working diligently to address these issues, however, our clients and the organization continue to struggle with the devastation wrought by Hurricane Matthew.
